BBQ@riverside

The weather was splendid
As every year in the company we held a barbeque yesterday, just in this time of the year when the summer can still give good days for outside events. My face is red now, who was asking for a beach day? After the sunset and the cleaning I remained there with two friends, enjoying the faraway sound of other groups playing with fireworks. One of them, after two years of studying Spanish told me that after yesterday's experience she'd better started English. A pity, but sometimes I have the same feeling. Too many things to do, and not enough time. Thus "the pile of unfinished things(TM)" keeps on growing, as we move towards new projects. Like this blog :)~

I'm listening to Dido's Dawson's Creek theme, and my current struggle is to include jpg files in LaTeX. I'm sick of seeing myself joining to the trend of the general ideas (TeX is cool, you write it once and you can compile it in any computer, blah blah blah) and then realizing that I have spent two days with the same problem. Looking it from that point of view, Macintosh might not a bad option... I have not heard anyone saying that is unstable, slow or even ugly. Besides, the fact that from the version X they have the console might make the migration easier for me. I am closer to the keyboard than to the mouse. Oh my God, what a freaky confession... whatever, free software/propietary software is not as important as gas emitting/electric car, or right/left wing. Besides, you have to try in order to decide that you don't like it.

Talking about cool ideas, there we go with the css/layers html thingy, the other day when I open this blog in Explorer I found that the left menu appeared at the bottom of the page, after the messages! More time to spend in things that are supposed to be write once run anywhere *sigh*
